Description

Based on the historic travel posters of the twentieth Century, Market Street Railway has created a series of historic travel illustrations by San Francisco artists John Mattos and David Dugan.

This poster, by David Dugan, features a cable car rising to the top of Nob Hill approaching Grace Cathedral from the southwest. Visible are the Chapel of Grace, the apse and south transept of the Cathedral, Choir House, and the fleche (central spire).

22 X 28 inches

From the Market Street Railway

As the San Francisco Municipal Railway’s 1,200-member nonprofit preservation partner, Market Sreet Railway helps keep San Francisco’s past present in the future...in the form of the famed historic streetcars of the F-line, and the national landmark cable cars, which together carry more than 40,000 riders per day. These historic transit vehicles are essential to the economically healthy circulation of visitors and residents around the downtown sector. We like to refer to these systems as San Francisco’s Museums In Motion.
