This sterling silver Celtic cross measures 7/8 inches tall and comes with an 18 inch sterling silver chain.  It is packaged in a burgundy velveteen hinged box.

The Celtic cross is a symbol that combines the cross with a ring surrounding the intersection.  This cross has its roots in ancient times.  After the conversion of the Celtic people to Christianity, it become the emblem of the Celtic Christian Church. It is now known by several names including the High Cross, Irish Cross, and the Cross of Iona.
