Description   This fused glass cross features the Chartres labyrinth design at the center.  There is a hanging hook at the top of each cross (not shown in photo). Also available in a rich blue (not shown). Approximately 7 inches tall by 5 inches in width This Fair Trade item is handmade in Ecuador by a native art company using a fused glass method.  Fusing glass is a technique used to obtain homogeneous glass layers by means of the fusion of different layers of glass which must have the same coefficient of expansion (the rate at which the glass expands). Melting and molding the glass creates spectacular pieces of art.  Part of its beauty is that the results are not totally predictable and may include bubbles within the glass. Each piece is a unique and exotic example of art.  Not two pieces are the same.
