This icon of Mary is entitled Our Lady of Perpetual Help.  First painted in the fourteenth century, Mary holds the Divine Child.  The two angels depicted hold the instruments of Christ's future passion.

The artist, Robert Lentz, ofm, is a Franciscan friar currently stationed in Houston, TX.  His work is known around the world and reflects his experience among the poor in this country and in the Third World.

Mounted on a one-half inch thick wooden plaque, this icon has beveled edges and a satin finish.
