These illuminated manuscripts are produced by a small, family-owned company in Chico, California. Each original is created by hand with paint brushes and calligraphy pens - no computers or other electronic equipment. Then the art print is rendered through a high-quality digital printing process. It is then numbered, signed, and gilded with twenty-three karat gold leaf. The process is time-consuming and expensive, but it continues a medieval tradition and produces a spectacular final product.

Each piece has a finished size of 9 X 12 inches. Each is double matted with a black outer mat and a golden inner mat. The actual visible image size is 5 1/2 X 7 1/2 inches.
