This solid brass pin is of the great East Rose Window designed by Gabriel Loire of Chartres, France. It is approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. 

The largest window in the cathedral, the rose window is made of 3,765 pieces of specially-faceted glass making the entering morning light sparkle, and is entitled "The Canticle of the Sun". It was inspired by a poem of the same name by St. Francis of Assisi (San Francisco's patron saint), a song to God celebrating life and the glories of nature. The tracery design of the rose window was prepared by Weihe, Frick & Kruse, cathedral completion architects, based on the original design by Lewis Hobart (1929) with some minor modifications. It was given its abstract, fluid design (in contrast with the solid tracery geometry) and executed by Gabriel Loire, of the famed Loire Stained Glass Studios of Chartres, France.

Beautifully packaged in a dark blue box with a blue interior that includes information about the window.

Available in a 24 kt gold electroplate or silver finish.
