This suncatcher features the Chartres labyrinth design on a fused glass panel measuring approximately 5 3/4 inches in diameter.  It includes a 3 inch thin leather cord adorned by three beads at the attachment point to the hook embedded in the glass (bead colors vary).

Available in blue or brown.

This Fair Trade item is handmade in Ecuador by a native art company using a fused glass method.  Fusing glass is a technique used to obtain homogeneous glass layers by means of the fusion of different layers of glass which must have the same coefficient of expansion (the rate at which the glass expands). Melting and molding the glass creates spectacular pieces of art.  Part of its beauty is that the results are not totally predictable and may include bubbles within the glass. Each piece is a unique and exotic example of art.

This is much bigger than it looks here and quite lovely. I purchased the blue one for a friend and will be happy to present it to her.
